SYSTEM5 Solution

Leomatic SYSTEM5 is a modular electronic system, suitable for most automation controls.
It performs like a Computerized Numeric Control (CNC) and a Programmable Logic Control (PLC) at the same time. These two functions may work independently or strictly associated.
SYSTEM5 is a reliable and real-time field-hardware; it may be connected to any operator interface (PC, user's panel, ...), but it can work also as a stand-alone device.
Using SYSTEM5 freeware tools and libraries you can drive it from a PC-host or a user's panel.

The single modules may be easily interconnected according to various architectures,  with a simple 20 pins flat-cable when near to each other or with a twisted pair (CAN like) when distributed along the machine or the line. You may build a totally distributed configuration.
Each module of SYSTEM5 family offers some independent communication ports, useful to connect with other SYSTEM5 modules or with external devices:

• a high-speed parallel port (not present only in P59 and P59-USB modules) for connection with other near SYSTEM5 modules

• one or two serial ports (RS232/422/485/CAN) for point-to-point or network connections with an external device or with other remote SYSTEM5 modules

Each module of SYSTEM5 family may be also connected to a PC-104 system through our card P50-104 (a bridge/front-end between PC-104 CPU and SYSTEM5 modules).

• SYSTEM5 modules are ready to mount on a standard DIN guide

• Compact modules, with external dimensions: 101 × 120 × 17,5 (or 22,5) mm

• The internal firmware activities of a module are presented on some leds at the front, giving a simple and immediate overview of its status

• Basic configuration of a module is allowed through a Dip-Switch bank easily accessible from the front side

• Fast and simple wiring operations: external signals are grouped on removable clips, screw or spring type
