PNC
Leomatic PNC modular systems (PLC+CNC),
ideal as real-time field-electronic, are based on an
"embedded" CPU card (LEOMATIC
P41);
it provides the direction over the system and can be directly
connected to an external Windows PC, also for service. This
serial connection may be of type RS232, RS422 or RS485 (networks
are possible).
A PC may so be used for the PNC configuration, data and
parameters programming, test of application software (PLC). If a
man-machine-interface (MMI) is needed, you can develop it (using
Leomatic free SW libraries) and run it on the same PC.
Leomatic
supplies to any software developer, free of charge, a
Windows software suite including the
WinPncLib
library and several ActiveX controls. They handle:
- the communication between PC and PNC rack;
- data exchange necessary for a SCADA interface;
- the PNC configuration
(quantity and type of present
cards);
- data and parameters programming, recipes, ...;
- monitoring and test of firmware variables and of all
hardware resources (axes, I/O, ...);
- the on-board firmware download for any card.
WinPncLib
library is supplied as dll
kit for MFC based application under operating
system Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, XP. It is accomplished with
a user's manual.
ActiveX controls, based on WinPncLib
library, give the programmer access to any basic function of
the library but also offer many high-level methods.
PncTool utility
is a dedicated software tool, developed and freely supplied by
Leomatic.
It uses WinPncLib and all ActiveX
controls, so that it allows:
- handling an archive of
configuration data-files;
- advanced programming of all
parameters of the axes control cards;
- calibration (auto-zero) and
adjusting of any axis;
- programming
of work-cycles using ISO language;
- monitoring
of system and application errors;
- graphic representation
(oscilloscope like) of any firmware variable in respect of
time or of another
variable.
LeoPlc
utility
is a
dedicated software tool,
developed and freely supplied by
Leomatic.
It runs as a MS-DOS
shell and is designed as a complete PLC programmer,
allowing
the realization of a whole "machine logic" by
means of the following functions:
- Program languages: AWL or KOP
(very similar to SIEMENS Step5).
- Program structure:
Organization block, Program blocks, Sequential blocks.
- Operands reference:
ABSOLUTE or SYMBOLIC.
- Debug ON-LINE (Tracing
and/or Monitoring).
- Automatic documentation tool.
- Test: you may "force"
the value of any
operand.
- You may handle an archive of
PLC program files.

Automation Builder is
a new dedicated software tool,
still under
development.
It will group all the functions of PncTool and
of LeoPlc, allowing more practical and faster
sessions of programming and debug.
It is actually available a version with the only functions of
LeoPlc, in a modern context.
They appear particularly progressive as "skin", use and
productivity; you can easily develop your own machine
logic-program (PLC).
