Leomatic Automation
Builder is
a new dedicated software tool for Windows PC,
still under
development.
It will group all the functions of PncTool and
of LeoPlc, allowing more practical and faster
sessions of programming and debug for Leomatic PNC systems.
It is actually available a version with the only functions of
LeoPlc, in a modern context.
They appear particularly progressive as "skin", use and
productivity; you can easily develop your own machine
logic-program (PLC).
Hardware requirements

Automation Builder
may be executed on any PC (industrial,
desktop, laptop, notebook), equipped with Windows
operating system (Windows 2000, XP, Vista).
PNC system can be directly connected to:
- a standard COM port of the PC (RS232 link, via a
standard inverting cable);
- a USB port of the PC (via a commercial USB cable).
This connection is
possible only if the PNC CPU offers a USB or miniUSB connector.
Software characteristics
Automation Builder
is a wide window on a PNC system, allowing inspection on the
whole system; it also allows data/parameters programming and
variables forcing, so for a technician it may be a powerful
and versatile instrument.
Its look is very similar to a progressive development system,
user configurable; work-screen may be divided into some
functional zones, each of them containing a specific data-group
representation based on the context.
A "solution" may group more than one "project"; a "project" may
involve more than one automation "node" (a "node" is a Leomatic PNC
system as well as a group of Leomatic SYSTEM5 modules).
Here below is
shown a typical Automation Builder screen, in which you may see:
- the structured representation of the project components, on
the middle-right;
- the edit window, on the middle-left;
- the output window, on the bottom-left, with the results of
compilation;
- the property window, on the bottom-right, related to the
selected project component.
